TBG 138: Bundesliga | Premier League Updates | All Together World Beer News

We hope you all are still doing well out there. We are back to talk about football coming back! We cover the first few matchdays of the Bundesliga, including the recent Dortmund vs. Bayern match. There is also a bit of an update from the Premier League, MLS, and NWSL to cover. Finally, we take a deep dive into the craft beer news around the world.

Our beers of the pod are both collaboration beers. The first is an interesting one from Tactical Brewing and Bogiwens Brewing called 3rd Wheel Hopgoblin. The second beer of the pod is one we’ve been talking about in our recent beer news. This beer is the new famous All Together, a worldwide collaboration beer brewed to support hospitality professionals affected by the shutdowns from Covid-19. The recipe created by Other Half Brewing in NY, has been shared with over 800 breweries worldwide. The one we try is from local Suncreek Brewery in Clermont, FL.

We are back, but not together, as we adhere to the current social distancing standard. Ron and Ferris call into the studio to chat a bit about soccer news. But let’s be honest, there isn’t much. So we go into some craft beer (good) news, and maybe get distracted by discussing Netflix’s TIGER KING. We are doing our best to keep sane in this wild time of our history, and we hope you can forget about your worries for an hour so, and join us for a cold one.

TBG 135: Quarantine Show | Soccer Shutdown and USWNT

Well, we are here with a new episode in very weird times. We here at the Brewtiful Game hope you are able to shelter safely in place and stay healthy. And for those of you who can’t because you are on the frontline of essential jobs, we very much thank you. We hope we can provide some distraction to your shelter in place days.

So, what to talk about in these trying times? On the soccer front, we look at how different leagues are approaching their shutdowns during the pandemic. Plus, we vent our frustrations at U.S. Soccer after their president has just stepped down over the wretched handling of the equal pay case with the U.S. Women’s National Team. We think we might have a solution to their problems in our humble opinion. (Spoiler alert: EQUAL PAY!!!)

Beyond these soccer and beer topics, we all have clearly been cooped up inside, as this episode gets a little weird. We go from incest Folgers’ commercials to Olestra chips that cause anal leakage. In other words, we had a great time letting off steam. We hope you can hang out with us and do the same through our show.

In this episode, we talk about the opening week of MLS, plus Ron and Blake explain how wrong Ferris is to support the VAR decision that went against Everton in their match against Manchester United.
