TBG 95: 2018 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 and Quarterfinals | MLS News | James O'Connor to Orlando City SC

This World Cup has been a blast so far, and we are having just as much fun looking back at all the matches. In this episode we cover the round of 16 and the quarterfinals. After the World Cup talk, we discuss the hiring of James O'Connor to MLS side Orlando City SC. We also take a bit of a dive into the overall state of MLS.

We have two beers to review this pod. The first is brought to us by Ferris, and it is from 7venth Sun Brewery in Dunedin, FL. It was a sour Berliner Weisse called Freak Your Tiki, and was unlike anything we've had on the show so far.

Our second beer was brought in by Blake, who also kept things local with a brew from Cigar City Brewing from Tampa, FL. This Red India Pale Ale called Tocobaga was a nice addition to their already fine line of ales.

Group Stage of the World Cup is done already? It's gone by so quick. Probably because it's been one of the best World Cup Group Stages to watch. In this new episode, we talk some favorite highlights and look ahead to the knockout rounds. We end the show with our thoughts on Wayne Rooney joining MLS as a player for D.C. United.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup has kicked off! So far, it's been fantastic.

In this new episode talk the opening matches of the World Cup, Landon Donovan pledging his support to the Mexico national team, and end with MLS discussion covering the firing of Jason Kreis as Orlando City SC's head coach.

The beer of the pod was brought in by Ron, and in honor of how many World Cup nations had a Russian Imperial Stout as their top rated beer, he graced the show with a true top rated classic in North Coast Brewing Company's Old Rasputin Imperial Stout.
